Highlights from COA 2023 .
This OE Insight reviews 11 high-quality RCTs and meta-analyses presented at the 2023 Canadian Orthopaedic Association meeting. Studies spanned arthroplasty, shoulder and elbow, trauma, hand, and sports medicine. Key findings included no added benefit from TXA for arthroscopic visualization, mixed results in multimodal analgesia, and comparable outcomes across novel implant designs. OrthoEvidence data showed increased global readership, especially among mid-career clinicians, reflecting the growing impact of COA research.
